There are now 16 miles of Express Lanes - two lanes in each direction from Via Rancho Parkway in Escondido to State Route 163, operating 24/7! A total of 20 miles will be open in winter 2011/2012.

By the end of November, weather permitting, the 8-mile South Segment of the I-15 Express Lanes project will be completed as four more entry and exit points are opened! This stretch of freeway from State Route 163 to SR 56 is completing one year ahead of schedule and on budget.

These entrances include:

• Express Lanes southbound exit just south of I-15/SR 163 split
• Express Lanes northbound entrance just south of I-15/SR 163 split
• Northbound Express Lanes exit just south of Miramar Way
• Southbound Express Lanes entrance just south of Miramar Road
